Can I protect various sub-domains with one certificate?

An SSL Certificate is usually issued to a specific hostname. This means that an SSL certificate for "" cannot be used for another hostname, e.g. "".

To remove this restriction, we offer the EuropeanSSL Wildcard Certificate. This certificate type allows you to protect an unlimited number of subdomains under the same main domain. For example, a wildcard certificate for * protects:


Our wildcard certificates can also be used on an unlimited number of physical servers. There are therefore no further license fees when using a wildcard certificate on several servers.
